12 things to do from September 24 to 30
There are few things cuter than a dachshund except maybe a dachshund in a costume? In a parade? It all can be seen on Saturday at the 13th annual Doxie Day at Barnstable.
If small dogs aren’t your interests, there are plenty of other events around Cape Town this week as well. History is in the spotlight at Autumn at the Manse in Dennis, with history and culture available on the inaugural Wampanoag Cultural Celebration Day, a day-long festival in Falmouth.
The Love Local Fest will take over a part of Hyannis; you can find out more about the books at Brewster and online; enjoy the tales of Christine Ernst in Cotuit; listen to poetry in Truro; see the latest art exhibit at Dennis; and enjoy a variety of types of music in Sandwich, North Truro and Mashpee. Some highlights:
Ernst returns with the 10th ‘FACB’ show
Christine Ernst, the “Fat Ass Cancer Bitch,” returns for her 10th annual show featuring new material and her usual brand of what is described as irreverent, mouthy, and unrestrained humor and story.
