Fort Pierre’s First Thursdays season finale is tonight
The last event on the first Thursday of the year begins at 5:30 p.m. tonight (October 7, 2021) at Fischers Lilly Park in Fort Pierre.
There will be a variety of stalls and vendors and the season finale starts at 8pm – a movie in the park with âHocus Pocusâ. A few picnic tables are available, but people are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.

Activities and information booths include, but are not limited to:

Listen to the music of the Pierre Youth Orchestra, accompanied by Dr Jim Szana and Moriah Gross. They are kicking off their 10th anniversary season.

Shop for a meal of burgers over freshly baked buns, fries and cookies in Vintage Square.

American Legion selling drinks.

Activities at South Dakota Discovery Center, Stanley County Gold Program, Right Turn and Capital Area Pickleball Association booths.

Face or arm painting for a voluntary donation to be given to the Capital Farmers’ Market.

Information booths with the State Department of Social Services, Healthy Hometown and a project to establish an all-season fish cleaning station for Fort Pierre.

Various vendors.

A movie in the park from 8 pm, with the Halloween classic “Hocus Pocus”.
